Katy Perry will perform at Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show to be held at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
It has been speculated since August that Katy Perry was shortlisted along with Coldplay and Rihanna to play the Super Bowl event.
The last broadcast of Super Bowl Halftime Show drew a record-setting 111.5 million viewers. As a result, it was rumored that the league was asking those three popular contenders under consideration to pay to play, considering the boosts in career, specifically, in sales and public profile the show have impart the past performers.
But in response to this, Katy Perry said when she appeared on ESPN's College Game Day this past Saturday,
"I'm not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl,"
