Being a nun, she wowed the world when she hit the stage and won The Voice Italy. Now, Sister Cristina Scuccia is now on the spotlight again as she released the video of her version of Madonna's classic song "Like A Virgin."



Why Sister Cristina Chose "Like A Virgin" 

In an interview, she said she chose the song and she expressed her reasons why.

"I chose it. With no intention to provoke or scandalize. Reading the text, without being influenced by previous interpretations, you discover that it is a song about the power of love to renew people. To rescue them from their past. And this is the way that I wanted to interpret it. 

For this reason we have transformed this song from the pop-dance piece which it was, 

into a romantic ballad, a bit like the ones by Amos Lee. Something more similar to a lay prayer, than to a pop piece."

The song has been chosen to be the track to be released from her debut album due out in November worldwide. Her album will include versions of the songs she performed on the talent show, a couple of songs from the Christian music scene, two unreleased songs and the classic piece by Madonna.
